Be True to You

Happy New Year! The beginning of a new year is always so exciting to me and I love the feeling of embracing new ways to approach life. What I've realized over the years is that the most important thing I can do when I decide I want to change something in my life, is to stay true to who I am and never try to be anyone else. My yoga practice taught me this important lesson.

It doesn't matter what anyone else is doing. Just do you! Happiness is at its highest level when we stay connected and rooted to our unique soul.

May you have a wonderful 2017 full of yoga and everything else you love to do with your life!

Your PRESENCE is the most important gift.

During the busy holiday season it's so easy to get "wrapped up" in the gift giving and forget that YOU are the most important present. I hope you'll take time each day for yourself and allow your yoga practice to guide you in being "in the moment" and present, no matter how you spend your time over the next couple of weeks. Have a wonderful Holiday season and hope to see you on your mat soon!

Meditation and Mala Beads

Meditation often gets overlooked as an important part of yoga. Sitting by oneself is hard and takes practice. We want to enrich our students' yoga practice by including 5 - 10 minutes of dedicated meditation in a few classes. AND we have Mala beads as a tool for meditation. No experience is needed, our teachers will guide you. Classes offered are Hatha + Meditation, Kripalu Mindful Flow + Meditation, Mindful Flow + Meditation and Vinyasa + Meditation. Check the online schedule for next available day and time. Happy Meditating!

Finding the "Right Use of Energy"

In the season of overindulgence, I love that my yoga practice reminds me to save energy for what matters most.

YAY! November is going to be an amazing month!

I'm so excited for the November Mantra of Gratitude! It's one of my favorites. I believe that a grateful heart is a happy heart. All of the teachers, and I, look forward to practicing with you and finding gratefulness on our mats together. What are you grateful for today?

Open 2 Months!

It is so hard to believe that 2 months have passed since first opening the doors to Mindful Elephant Yoga in Philadelphia! A couple of days ago a student gave me a high five on his way out the door after class, it was my first...and it put a big goofy smile on my face. It was the perfect sign from the universe. I feel blessed.

And when a student who is new to yoga told me last week that he is walking taller and straighter I almost cried. When students share the benefits they receive from yoga it warms my heart and soul through and through. Because you see, it means we have a connection, a connection to something in our life that has helped us heal and/or live a better, healthier life.

2 GREAT months, thanks to the support of the teachers and students that have walked through the door and on to their mat, and continue to do so. I can't thank you enough!

Namaste,
Juli
